I am an enthusiastic, energetic individual who has a passion for working with children. I am reliable, patient and attentive and create a nurturing environment. I am easy going and chatty and love trying new things and participating in enjoyable activities with them. I am currently studying Psychology at the University Of Sheffield and in my spare time i like to stay very active and enjoy exercising and keeping myself busy.
My Experience
I have plentiful experience in childcare as I have volunteered and worked with kids since I was 14 years old.
At 16, I provided babysitting services on weekday evenings for two families, which involved entertaining the children and assisting with their bedtime routine.
Since the age of 14, I volunteered as a swimming teacher assistant at my local swim club, helping young swimmers improve their skills, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment in the water.
I am now a level 2 qualified swim teacher and provide lessons to children of various ages (4-16). This has supplied me with a wealth of first aid knowledge and from working with children in the pool i am well aware of how to diffuse stressful situations in a calm manner and make sure that the children are comfortable. I also teach swimming at week-long summer camps which entails supervising and entertaining the kids through out the day both in and out of the pool (10AM-4PM).
This summer I am working at an American summer camp where I will be constantly looking after children and engaging in fun activities with them.
My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSES all grade 7-9
I achieved grade A* A C in my Alevels, Socioology, Psychology and Biology
I am currently studying BSC Psychology at the University of sheffield and achieved a 2:1 in my first year
I am a qualified level 1 and 2 swimming teacher and teach children of various abilities and ages.
