My Experience

I was previously providing after-school care for a 7-year-old girl as their primary caregiver, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I looked after an additional 2 girls, aged 6 and 8.

Over the 7 months working with these families, I was able to build a trusting relationship with both the child and their family. I worked Monday to Friday from 3:10 PM to 6:30 PM, which totals 16 hours per week.

My responsibilities included school pick-up, supervising homework and after-school activities, preparing simple and nutritious meals for the children, and doing light household tasks such as tidying up play areas and cleaning up after meals. I focused on maintaining a calm, supportive, and structured environment where the children could relax and feel safe after their school day.

I enjoy creating engaging activities tailored to each child’s interests, whether it’s crafts, outdoor play, reading, or games. I am attentive to their emotional well-being and encourage open communication, kindness, and cooperation in everything we do.

Over the past 7 months, I’ve become adept at managing an afternoon routine, handling transitions smoothly, and meeting the needs of multiple children with different personalities and schedules. I take pride in being dependable, organised, and positive, and I value the trust that parents place in me to care for their children.

My Qualifications

I don’t currently hold any formal childcare qualifications, though I have recently started to apply for a childcare degree to further my knowledge and skills in this area. I am very happy to complete any additional training that would be helpful for your family, such as paediatric first aid or other relevant courses.

My Availability

I am completely free throughout the week from Monday- Friday. On occasion in the evenings I take writing and performing classes and hopefully will be taking a degree in Childcare. On the weekend I am working a part time job at a jewellery stall in Brick lane.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)

Minimum £16 per hour
