About Me
Single mum of 2 boys age 7 and 8. Currently living in temporary accommodation after fleeing our hometown of Bournemouth due to DV, safeguarding and risk of harm from boys father. Social Care involved CIN plan. Father remains in Bournemouth. Non-molestation order in place. Boys have some trauma related anxiety and PTSD. The boys to not have contact with their dad at present due to the need for a court order. As the boys resident parent and us not having a support network, I am seeking an individual who can accommodate 3-5 hours in an evening or weekend to allow me to have time away from the boys outside of school hours. The boys are generally well-behaved but do fight (sibling stuff mostly). They can be sensitive and emotional when overwhelmed or triggered but generally they are able to self regulate. My youngest had a "baby" who is incredibly important to him. BigE is a baby, not a doll. He is William's "son". He takes him EVERYWHERE, including school and gets upset and distress if BigE is hurt, called names "doll", or made fun of.
My Requirements
Looking for a consistent sitter on a regular/semi regular basis (every 2 weeks, possibly once a week) to allow me to have time to be me, explore the city and make friends. I am looking for someone to sit with the boys for 3-5 hours. Must be DBS checked as this will be a requirement under the CIN and will need to be happy to follow safeguarding plan. Whilst in temporary accommodation sitter will have access to our self-contained room. I would require a meeting with the sitter prior to the first sitting session to ensure they are aware of safeguarding concerns and actions to take.
