About Me
I'm an enthusiastic, Self-driven individual who loves to make a positive impact in children's day to day life. If I'm not working I'm trying to either spend as much time outdoors or work on my latest crochet and knit project. I love being creative and exploring nature, seeing the world through a child's eye always makes me realise that it is the little things that matter and how important it is tho be fully present in the moment. Creating a positive impact on a child's live is my passion.
As the oldest of three I learned to be responsible early on, taking care of my siblings and babysitting younger children in my neighnourhood. I went to a Montessori school wich had helped me develop my personality and gave me a strong sense of fairness and equality as well as it taught me to work together as a team no matter what difficulties the other might be facing.
My Experience
After I finished school I went on to work in a steiner nursery and learned a lot about their anthroposophy and holistic approaches who have positively affected me and are still part of my life.In 2019 I worked in a primary school in Germany and later on in the year I completed a TEFL course and started teaching Englisch to children in Vietnam and later online to people of all ages from all over the world. From time to time I got involved in a local Primary School in Devon helping my partners Mother in class. One year we made a big scarecrow for the harvest fest and everybody loved it.
Being German myself in know how difficult, but yet so important, it can be to learn a new language and I just love seeing my students develop and thrive over time. In my lessons I try to create a calm and positive environment and of course of singing, chanting and playing games is always popular.
My Qualifications
Ive been working in schools, for private families in the UK and abroad in NZ to support a family living in a remote area. Im a qualified TEFL teacher and did a level two course in social care in Germany in 2019.
My Availability
I can be available full time 40h per week if required.
