About Me
Mum to my teenage daughter in Whitstable with plenty of Nannying experience over the years in Surrey and Whitstable. I used to be OFSTED registered, but changed career to work as a complementary therapy specialist in cancer care up at Guy's Hospital and more recently at Pilgrims Hospices, but I miss the littlies and their teeny years too much and so will be taking a long term (and positive) break from my therapies to get back to what I love doing the most.
My Experience
The youngest (apart from my own) was 6 months and I looked after this little love for her parents who worked both from home and in London.
My Mum was a childminder and I took over looking after her two mindies when she changed career and went into retail. A girl 5 and her brother 2. A little girl of 5 for the Summer in Southampton. I then looked after 3 children whose Mum had passed away and spent the days with them in the holidays and spent a lot of time with them before and after school. I also spent some of the day time as a personal assistant for the Dad and helped with the house and cooking in general. In Whitstable I have looked after some gorgeous little ones between 2 and 5 years of age, particularly while my daughter was small and they were all the best of friends at the time. I'm sad not to have continued back then, but it was time to do something different, but now 10 years later, it feels right to come back to nannying.
I did spend a few years teaching the early years children singing and drama for Stagecoach Theatre Arts back in 2000 as I love music and spend my spare time recording vocals for various professionals.
My Qualifications
I do need to update my paediatric first aid and DBS, but apart from some core childminding skills courses that were required for OFSTED registration back in 2012, my qualifications are mostly for complementary therapies.
My Availability
I still love to spend time with my daughter after school (and at the moment she still loves to spend time with me!) and so I would prefer not to work after school every afternoon. I would prefer day times, but I want to be flexible too. Please ask.
