My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Judith, a Pharmacy student at Robert Gordon University with a genuine passion for childcare, education, and supporting families.
As the oldest of four siblings, caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. Over the past six years, I have gained extensive experience working with children of various ages, from infants and newborns to teenagers, including children with additional support needs and special educational needs.
Alongside childcare, I have over six years of tutoring experience, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I offer tutoring in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for primary and secondary school students.
I provide a wide range of flexible childcare and family support services, including:
• Babysitting
• Newborn and infant care
• Overnight care
• Twin care
• After-school care
• Homework help and tutoring
• Nannying and mother’s helper services
• Meal preparation
• Children’s laundry
• Light household cleaning and organisation
• School pick-ups and drop-offs
• Weekend and evening childcare
My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. Whether that means helping with homework, planning fun activities, preparing meals, assisting with household tasks, or caring for little ones while parents focus on work or other commitments, I strive to make life easier for families.
For added peace of mind, I am PVG certified, first aid trained, fully vaccinated, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.
I understand that every family has unique needs, so I offer flexible arrangements and personalised support. Please feel free to message me to discuss availability, services, and booking options. I would be delighted to learn how I can support your family.
My Experience
Drawing from a wealth of childcare experiences, I offer a professional, compassionate, and adaptable approach to both babysitting and tutoring. Throughout my journey as a caregiver, I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages, from newborns and toddlers to teenagers, including children with additional support needs. Each experience has strengthened my ability to provide individualized care tailored to the unique needs of every child and family.
With energetic twins aged six, I established structured routines, organised educational and creative activities, and maintained a safe yet stimulating environment that encouraged learning and development. This role strengthened my organisational skills and reinforced the importance of fostering curiosity, independence, and confidence in young children.
One of my most rewarding experiences involved caring for a child with autism, where patience, empathy, consistency, and specialised approaches were essential. Through creating a supportive and inclusive environment, I was able to help the child feel comfortable, understood, and encouraged while supporting their development and daily routines. Over the years, I have worked with several children with additional support needs and have developed a strong appreciation for adapting care to meet each child’s individual requirements.
I also have extensive experience caring for infants and newborns, supporting feeding routines, sleep schedules, soothing techniques, play, and general day-to-day care. My experience extends across all age groups, allowing me to confidently adapt my approach depending on a child’s developmental stage and personality.
In addition to daytime care, I have provided overnight childcare for families on numerous occasions. This has included single-night stays, multiple consecutive nights, and longer-term arrangements where I have taken on a more involved role in supporting the household and maintaining children’s routines while parents were away. These experiences have further developed my sense of responsibility, reliability, and ability to manage children’s needs independently.
Beyond childcare, I have also assisted families with meal preparation, children’s laundry, homework support, school routines, light household organisation, and general family support. I understand that every family has different needs and pride myself on being flexible and willing to provide support wherever it is most helpful.
As a tutor, I have successfully supported primary and secondary school students in a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I have worked both one-to-one and in group settings, helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of challenging concepts, and develop effective study habits. My goal is always to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and reach their full potential.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my childcare work has been the long-lasting relationships I have built with families. Over the years, I have remained in contact with many of the families I have worked with, and it has been a privilege to watch the children grow and develop. These ongoing relationships reflect the trust, reliability, and genuine care that I strive to bring to every role.
Throughout all of my childcare and tutoring experiences, I have remained committed to professionalism, patience, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive. References are available upon request, and I look forward to continuing to support children and families in a meaningful and positive way.
My Qualifications
I hold a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certification and am fully First Aid certified, demonstrating my commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for every child in my care. While I am not a registered childminder, I bring over six years of childcare experience working with children of all ages, including infants, twins, and children with additional support needs. I am dedicated to providing reliable, nurturing, and professional care that families can trust.

I had Judith over to help mind my 11yr old and 7year old overnight. She arrived on time, had a great rapport with the kiddos and was so personable. Will definitely have her provide future childcare services.
