Im a university student and I've been babysitting for about 4 years now and i like being babysitter because it allows me to interact with children, contribute to their well-being, and build connections. It really helps me develop responsibility, patience, and valuable childcare skills that ive benn using.
My Experience
Childcare: teacher (voluntary)
I am part of a local church which I attend every week. Each Sunday I am responsible for taking care of a group of up to 10 kids, 1-5 year olds alongside another teacher where I provide basic care for the children which sometimes includes feeding and changing diapers. I encourage positive behaviour and good manners from the kids. I also plan out various activities to engage the kids such as stories, games and drawing to intellectually stimulate the children.
