About Me
I grew up between 2 households as a child and loved both sides of them equally. My dad, who was an art student and then self employed artist for a lot of my childhood taught me how to cook and raised me to open minded and creative. And my mum who was a steiner primary teacher and a childminder now owning her own business and introducing me into the childcare setting and teaching me the fine line that is enough routine with enough excitement and change. I have been working in kitchens for the last 2 years and love cooking but am excited to get back into a calmer environment. I love the outdoors and have been enjoying finding little places of green in the city to play with my youngest siblings, or when I am on my own to just read. I live with my sister while she studies at college and our 2 cats who I love and spoil a ridiculous amount. I am a chatty and energetic individual and cant wait to find another family to help.
My Experience
I am the oldest of 5 and consider myself to be a professional older sister as I have been heavily involved in all of their younger years, despite our age differences. I have pride in my involvement with my youngest sibling who was born in November and despite no longer living in that house I have a strong family spirit and have been visiting and pitching in to help with the new-born and my toddler brother as well as general cooking and cleaning.
I spent most of my childhood around many children as my mother is and was a childminder out of the house and when her business expanded when I turned 16 I helped out on occasional days and in little summer camps when I was off school. I am just starting a more official role there part time after 2 years of doing my own thing and am starting my SVQ3 in childcare along side this role, and in January partaking in a first aid course
