About Me
I'm a busy, working, single mother to a very sweet 3 year old boy with suspected autism (still awaiting ASD assessment). My son is mostly non-verbal and communicates with gestures, for e.g. if he's hungry/thirsty he will take your hand and lead you to the kitchen. He does understand some words and instructions, but for most part, struggles with verbal communication.
We don't have any support from his father or my parents (they live overseas), and as helpful as my friends and cousins are, they have their own families and lives to live, so I try not to depend on them too much for childcare. After 3+ years of raising my son alone and working a demanding job in the city, my wellbeing is starting to suffer as a result of having no 'ME' time. I want to be the best parent possible, but that means implementing some regular self-care/hobbies/social life into my routine.
My son and I enjoy trips to the park, visiting our friends/family, overseas holidays and watching Gracie's Corner and Hey Duggee on TV/iPad. The two of us live at home with our sassy cat Bebe.
My Requirements
Ideally, I need someone to watch my son for the entire day (possibly into the night or overnight depending on my needs) every other Saturday for an extended period of time. Just to allow me some time to have a life of my own, get a pedicure, meet friends for brunch etc.
