About Me
My name is Roxi, I am 35 years old. Until April 2023 I worked as a Midwife in various settings, providing care for women and their babies throughout their pregnancy, birth and postnatal period. I practiced as a Midwife for 13 years and I wish to continue to utilise these skills by supporting new families in their homes on a much more personal level.
I am a warm, patient, friendly and very mature. I am quite a creative person, I enjoy painting and have recently learned how to knit, I also like to make jewellery and trinkets.
I live in Walsall with my partner Dan, our 2 dogs, 3 cats and a snake. Everywhere you turn to look in our house there is an animal but we wouldn't have it any other way. We enjoy long walks with the dogs and camping trips when we get the chance.
My Experience
I have worked as a Midwife within NHS hospitals, community settings and private health care services. I have lots of experience in caring for healthy newborns as a Community Midwife and also enjoy spending time with my friend's children. I also have experience of caring for unwell babies on the postnatal wards and neonatal unit at Walsall Manor Hospital.
Before qualifying I worked part time at 2 private nurseries and 2 after school clubs, mostly caring for children aged 4 to 10.
I have experience in parent education and preparation for the birth and a new baby.
I am experienced in safeguarding adults and child protection.
