Hello! My name is Rowan, I'm 18 years old and I'm currently a student at Edinburgh University. I'm studying psychology and planning to specialise in educational and developmental psychology as I am very interested in working with kids. I have a background in art so I'd love to do arts and crafts activities with kids. I also love getting outside, exploring nature and playing sports with kids.
My Experience
When I was growing up my family fostered children so I've been experiencing loads of different children from different backgrounds from a very young age. As I got older I began playing a much bigger role in these children's lives so I've got lots of expereince in caring for babies and children with additional needs.
I have also worked as a Children's Activity Leader in which I led workshops for kids. Additionally for the past two years I have been one of Santa's elves at Christmas which involved working with children and families alike.
I have also done some babysitting for friends and family members.
My Qualifications
I do not have any official childcare qualifications but I have my DBS disclosure check. I have basic first aid knowledge from a course done several years ago but I would be willing to retrain if required.
My Availability
I am available every evening, and all day on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. I can also do overnights every day.
