About Me
We are looking for a support worker for our 3 children (6, 9 and 11) who are autistic with complex needs. They have high anxiety regarding social situations/leaving the house. All three are fun, kind, intelligent and enjoy playing board/card games or gaming. The youngest two enjoy being creative and the oldest enjoys science/tech activities.
My Requirements
Our children do not currently have school placements so support is required in the weekday, around their tuition schedule. We are looking for someone to provide support at home to begin with, then also on trips out. The children love fun and playing games but need support to stay regulated. We are looking for around 12 hours of support each week, there is some flexibility regarding hours. Ideally the person would be available to work school holidays too but this is not essential.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience working with neurodiverse children, particularly those with anxiety and demand avoidance. A good sense of humour and lots of energy would be valuable!
Must be reliable and punctual as routine is important to the children
Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle
Enhanced DBS must be in place prior to starting
Our home is Bilingual (Welsh and English) so some understanding of Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential
