About Me
I am a single mother to a beautiful 1 year old boy who has disabilities. We are looking for a childminder who would be willing to take on specialised training in order to support his needs two days a week to allow me to return to work. I am a paediatric nurse and can offer constant support and guidance throughout.
My Requirements
Ideally, you would have experience caring for a child with disabilities. Full training will be given but experience in enteral feeding, medications and postural support/physiotherapy would be preferred. My son has cerebral palsy and does use specialised equipment to support his posture, he also requires occasional suction to help with his secretions. He loves being involved in activities like painting, stories, going for walks and really enjoys physical stimulation with interactive songs. He is fed milk through a pump, delivered via gastrostomy PEG tube. He has medications at 2pm. Training will be given to ensure safety and confidence. I would require childcare on a Tuesday and Thursday from 8.15am - 5pm. Please get in touch if you think this post would suit you.
