About Me
I am an engaging and professional maths tutor. My career focus is within psychotherapy and gaining skills in this field has helped me enhance my teaching greatly. I also enjoy cricket and fitness as my main hobbies.
I am a big believer that each child is unique and will learn best in their own way, which might not always be suited to what is delivered in a chaotic classroom full of children. It may not always be textbook. Therefore if possible, they should be given the chance to learn and flourish in their own ways. Allowing them to gain confidence and reward from achieving in maths.
Education should be delivered in a manner that is fun and engaging and with professionals who are able to invoke thought and develop professional relationships.
My Experience
I have worked as a professional maths tutor employed by the Tutor trust for over a year across multiple schools in Leeds. I have taught from year 7 to 11 with a main focus on year 11's to prepare for upcoming GCSE's.
I also teach a varying range of ability throughout the age groups. This also includes some work with SEN children. Mental health and neurodivergence is very important to consider when working with children and I have always been able to adapt lessons to ensure they are engaging and fun, whilst being productive.
Having taught a range of children, in a number of schools across Leeds, I have been able to witness first hand, the amount of adaption required in order for each child to grasp and understand concepts.

My Availability
I am available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays afterschool. I can also be flexible on weekends regarding times and days. I am happy to travel as long as it's within a reasonable distance.
