About Me
I am a 30 years old woman. I have an autistic nephew that motivated me to start a career in special education needs schools. I find it the most rewarding job in the world. I am passionate about empowering autistic people to live their best lives, promoting their independence and making sure they are happy relaxed and engaged in order to learn as much as possible.
My Experience
I started my career as an Applied Behavior Analysis tutor in March 2021.
I received many trainings from all the Behavior Analysts I have met and in March 2022, I moved from the primary school to the secondary school. I got promoted after 2 months as a Lead Practitioner and as an Advanced Skills Practitioner after 9 months. My experience with autistic children is wide as I worked with early, intermediate and advanced learners; I worked with autistic children with different ways of communicating: gestures, pecs, proloquo2go,
Makaton signs and vocals.
I also experienced different behaviors that challenged, and always worked with my behavior analyst to apply strategies that could help the learner in the best way possible.
My Qualifications
I have a Psychology degree, and I am interested in starting my MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis and to become a BCBA one day.
I am a first aider.
I am a mental health first aider.
My Availability
I work in a SEN School full time so my availability are some evenings and Saturdays
