My Summary

My Experience

For my university placement, I worked as a live in au pair for a wonderful italian family. I took care of two twin girls, aged 2 from 7am to 8pm daily. I also took care of their 13 year old child after school had ended. My roles included childcare, but also cooking and cleaning. I read to the children, also playing interactive and engaging games- such as water play . As well as indoor activities, I was able to engage in a multitude of outdoor activities. I also took care of the families pet dogs.
I worked full days at a pre school that catered to the ages of 3 months to 5 years of age. I taught the children a variety of subjects, such as mathematics and literature. I also worked one on one with children who had SEN difficulties. My other duties included cooking three meals a day and cleaning the entirety of the pre school. I also aided the children in toilet training and teeth brushing.
I also worked as a children’s entertainer. In this role I worked as a children’s entertainer, dressing up as a multitude of Disney princesses and many other characters. While playing these roles, I told stories, sang and ran the events. On top of this, I trained other people up for the company. This gave me the skills in teaching, as well as giving me confidence in large crowds.
