Hello!
My name is Katie, I am a bubbly and kind 28 year old woman looking to relocate to Horsham around mid June-July time.
I have always had a passion for working in the Early Years sector. I began working in childcare at the age of 16 where I began my journey as a nursery assistant at GWPS, this is where I gained my Level 3 childcare qualification.
Since then I have worked in many different childcare settings and gained extensive knowledge of children’s learning and development.
I gained experience as a nanny in London working for a lovely family with two children. I am very active and we spent most of our days out at groups, sight seeing London and visiting local museums.
I am happy to take on housekeeping jobs and ensuring the children are eating nutritious meals.
I would also have my own box of nanny recourses so that the children can experience learning through play.
I would best describe myself as a calm, fun, caring and loyal individual. I love spending time in the outdoors and spend most of my time on nature trails with my dachshund Presley.
If I’m not out with my dog you may find me, socialising with friends, wild swimming, playing touch rugby or working on my strength in pole fitness.
I am extremely family orientated and love spending time in my hometown when I visit.and d
My Experience
Over the past 12 years I have worked in childcare and have gained extensive knowledge and developed appropriate skills.
During my 12 years in the childcare sector, I have had the opportunity to work in private nurseries, school environments, pupil referral units, private nannying and charity work supporting young people with additional and complexed needs.
This has gained me experience working with children and young adults aged between 0-18.
I have good knowledge in bottle feeds, baby lead weening and baby weening. I have had training in allergens and nutrition.
A good understanding of mile stones, development and curriculum.
This has allowed me to learn about children’s care and development in all different aspects.
I am an advocate for child lead learning and learning in the wider community and outdoors.
