About Me
Hey! My name is Shannon. I’m a Secondary school TA, and have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 14 so have plenty of experience being in charge and taking care of children and teenagers, including those with ASC, ADHD, and other learning and physical differences. I’m friendly, trustworthy and reliable and would be honoured to be entrusted to look after or tutor your children! I also drive and have my own car.
Due to safeguarding, I won’t be able to look after children from the school that I work at, so will need to discuss privately beforehand to ensure this doesn’t happen accidentally!
My Experience
I’ve been babysitting since the age of 14 for children aged from newborn upwards, have done work experience in primary schools and now work as a secondary school TA, working with SEND students. I previously worked (and still do on an ad hoc basis) in an opticians as an optical consultant. Therefore I have experience with being in a people facing role, providing professional care, and having a caring and reassuring touch towards people of all ages and backgrounds.
My Qualifications
BTEC Level 2 qualification in Child Development
BA (hons) Degree in History of Art and Design
A-Level Film Studies
A-Level History
A-Level Psychology
All GCSE’s grade A*-C including History, RS, Triple Science and Art
My Availability
Evenings (5pm onwards) and weekends. After school may be arranged on occasion.
