In my spare time I enjoy going for long walks in countryside with my Labrador and other half. I’m very much a family oriented individual, being one of six siblings.
It is important to me that a positive and fun attitude is used to be able to build a trusting relationship which your child/ren will benefit from. Throughout the day with your little one I can set up play opportunities (using your own resources) for them to enjoy whilst supporting their learning and development, as well as taking trips out, exploring local parks, groups and any other activities your child may take part in.
I am happy to help out with some housekeeping where appropriate, for example doing the washing up or folding clothes whilst your baby/ toddler naps or is content playing independently for a little while. (Tasks are not restricted). I can also make/ cook meals for your children (and yourself, if needed).
My Experience
Seven years experience of working with ages ranging from babies to pre-school in a nursery setting. As most of my time has been spent with the younger age range, I would say I specialise in babies aged 6 to 24 months.
I spent 2 years at a Montessori setting and 5 within a nursery that follows the Curiosity approach. Both use ways of play/ learning that I promote.
Although nannying will be a new experience for me it is very much similar to the role I have now- caring for children throughout the day, supporting them with their needs, as well as general day-to-day duties like meal prep, washing and some cleaning.
