About Me
Hello, my name is Hanna :) I am a Canadian nanny living in Scotland on a Youth Mobility Scheme visa. I have nannied for multiple families back home in Canada, and most recently worked as a Nursery Practitioner here in Edinburgh. I’m calm natured, gentle, responsive, child-led, and love being outside. I’m experienced and comfortable with attuning to infant cues, providing developmentally appropriate opportunities for play and learning, as well as providing the patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Above all I enjoy creating a compassionate and caring environment that allows children to showcase their unique stengths and personalities.
My Experience
I have 3 years of experience nannying in Canada for a variety of families, as well as recent experience as a Nursery Practitioner at a private nursery in Edinburgh. I have looked after children from the ages of 9 months old to 10 years old, specializing in toddler age. At the nursery, I worked in the baby, tweenie, toddler, and preschool rooms, and although the toddler room was my permenant placemet, I am comfortable caring for children of all ages. I have extensive experience caring for children with a variety of health conditions, dietary restrictions, and accommodation needs. I am comfortable with medication management, and allergy aversion. My daily activities as a nanny/nursery practitioner includes planning fun and educationally engaging activities for the children, nappy changes, assisting in potty training, meal preparation, nap time, as well as maintaining a safe play environment.
