About Me

I'm graduating university this summer, and looking for part time work alongside a research project. I have two horses and am raising money for the SPANA charity with a running challenge. Alongside this I like to spend time cycling or hiking, and although I like to be active I do have a quiet, patient and caring personality.

My Experience

I used to volunteer/ work for a riding stables and led the pony club lessons and camps with 5-20 kids at a time. I have a first aid qualification from my role on the committee of a sports club at university, and Level 2 food hygiene and chef experience from working at a kitchen of a busy Edinburgh cafe. I've been vegan for 10 years, so I've got plenty of plant based recipes!

I myself had a childminder after school growing up, and I know that the person can be like having another family member if they're the right fit. I took higher psychology at school (A), and have a good awareness and interest in sleep, mental health, intuitive nutrition, sport and exercise, and mindfulness. I have part time jobs in my university with their teaching and learning department, and am applying for my Associate Fellowship for past and current work into inclusivity and student voice and engagement.

I have two horses and I am very comfortable with animals since I grew up with pets (cats, rabbits, hamsters) and have a BSc (Hons) in Animal and Conservation Biology. I'm interested in animal behaviour and my summer research project is focused on animal welfare. If you have an energetic dog, I would love a running buddy for my Edinburgh hill and beach runs!
