Hello, I'm Anya Watson!
Leaving school last May, I was uncertain of what would my future would look like. While I was undecided on a degree, I knew one thing - my passion and love for children. Last August, a job opportunity came up in San Francisco, California looking after 4 year old twins for 8 months. I spent the summer at home, babysitting regularly and completing courses in which to prepare me for my role as an Au Pair. Taking on this role only furthered my confidence and fuelled my enthusiasm for childcare.
I love to keep busy and am known to be very organised and neat. Structure is very important to me and I find comfort in my various to-do lists! I am kind, gentle and patient as well as creative and intuitive.
My Experience
In August 2023 - March 2024 I looked after twins, aged 4 in San Francisco, California as an Au Pair.
My jobs included:
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the children
- Drop off / pick up from school and camps
- Drive and accompany to playdates, activities, lessons
- Participate and supervise activities to keep the children active and entertained as well as encourage their learning and development
- Keep playroom, bedrooms and common areas clean and organised
- Children’s laundry wash, dry, fold, iron and put away
- Run errands such as food shopping
- Update children’s clothing when needed
- Donate the children’s outgrown books / clothes / toys
- Feeding, clothing, bathing children
- Preparing snacks and meals
- Help with homework as needed
- Cook and bake with the children
My Qualifications
I have completed a Paediatric first aid course.
I am an avid cook and baker with a qualification from Abinger cookery school.
My Availability
I am searching for a part time job, preferably week-day only. On occasion I am happy to work into the late evening or overnight stay if needed.
