About Me
Moving from a small town in Ireland to Liverpool 4 years ago, I have gained invaluable interpersonal, social, communicative and empathy skills. I am an extremely independent and caring individual by nature, I have also learned that I excel under pressure and especially enjoy having responsibilities. I am an extremely conscientious and dedicated student, which transfers over into any job I undertake. Coming from a big family with younger siblings/cousins, taking care, guiding, and putting others first is an environment that Ive grown up in, thus comes second nature to me. I also come from a sporting background, and have played Gaelic football (GAA) since the age of 5, where Ive been part of competitive teams all through my adolescents/early adult life. I am used to being part of a team and thrive in the team environment. From this, I have learned an abundance of life skills such as leadership, teamwork, commitment, empathy and selflessness. I have an extremely strong work ethic, and great ability to show initiative in any environment I am employed in.
My Experience
I am highly experienced in working under pressure and dealing with the public in a demanding retail environment. Since entering the world of work and more specifically, the hospitality industry at the age of fifteen, I have developed a keen passion for meeting, greeting and interacting with customers and assisting them to the very best of my ability. With almost five years worth of experience in a variety of industry related jobs including, cafes, bars and a nationally renowned restaurant, I have since acquired a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience. Along with my professional experience, the skills and personal qualities that I have developed in my years volunteering with local organisations and kids sports clubs have helped me beyond measure in the world of work. I am extremely confident in handling children in a demanding environment, and appreciate the value of discipline. I have more recently started a Part time Teaching assistant role in primary schools, specifically attending to children (reception age) who have SEN in a 1:1 and classroom environment.
My Qualifications
I currently have an undergraduate BSc Psychology degree; (Liverpool Hope University), where I achieved a 2:1 (graduated last year). I am currently completing a MSc in Health Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University.
My Availability
I am available most week days, however I just need to know somewhat in advance.
