About Me
I am a single mum of three children ages 12, 9 and 7. I work part time as a Paediatrician three days a week in Weston super mare so need to leave for work early doors. My sister lives with us but she works full time. The two youngest children attend the local primary school a short distance from the house, and the eldest attends the local Secondary school and walks to and from school.
We are a fun loving family with lots of wide ranging interests from dance to minecraft, wildlife to baking and everything in between. The children are very creative and love to have an adult who will engage in games with them but, who also are happy to have a cuddle while they watch something on their tablets after a busy day at school. Weekends can be very busy so we are more relaxed in the evenings when at home and the children generally like to do their own things, but sometimes they enjoy creating games together.
My Requirements
I'm looking for wrap around care in term time and full days in the school holidays. This would be 0730-10 and 1500-1830, three days a week. I can also offer some additional hours in term time for housekeeping/cleaning if this would be of interest.
We are looking for someone who is relaxed and can go with the flow, happy to jump straight into the chaos of a busy family home, following the children's interests and providing boundaries and guidance when required. In the holidays it would be fantastic if you could arrange playdates and day trips locally to stave off the madness and keep the children engaged in the learning process, especially through the summer months when school becomes a forgotten memory. Someone who is willing to tackle three sets of homework and provide evening meals would be much appreciated.
The older children have gymnastics/trampolining on a Wednesday and all three have swimming on a Friday which they need to be taken to, so a driver is essential.
We also have a cat, requires no additional effort other than the odd cuddle on her terms.
