My Experience

Over the past 7 years, I have had the privilege of working in both mainstream and private educational sectors, specialising in Key Stages 1 and 2. During this time, I have developed a deep specialisation in working with SEN (Special Educational Needs) children. My main focus has been on creating a supportive environment that not only addresses the unique challenges these pupils face but also enhances their learning experience.
One of my key skills lies in transforming the educational journey for children—from merely getting through the process to actively enjoying and engaging in their learning. This approach has yielded remarkable outcomes, with many students discovering new passions and achieving beyond their expected academic levels.
Moreover, I utilise innovative teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles, which has been instrumental in helping pupils not only meet but often exceed their personal and educational goals. My commitment to making education a positive, enriching experience is what truly defines my teaching career.

My Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History and Politics and am a certified educator with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). My comprehensive background includes advanced training in several key educational strategies and programs, which are essential for fostering academic growth and ensuring student safety.

My Availability

I am available for tutoring sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays after school, starting at 5 PM, and on Sunday mornings.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £30.00 per hour

I believe that tutoring should be tailored to the unique needs of each pupil and their family situation, aiming to bridge the gap between school and home learning environments. Therefore, while tutoring can be an invaluable resource, I recognise that it may not always be necessary on a continual basis.
With this in mind, I advocate for a "little and often" approach, especially for younger children, to ensure that learning is manageable and integrated smoothly into their daily routines. My fees are designed to be flexible to accommodate the varying needs and time commitments required by each family:
* Base Rate: My standard fee is £30 per session.
* Negotiable Rates: I am open to discussing adjusted rates based on specific circumstances, duration of engagement, and frequency of sessions.
