I’m 18 years old, currently studying at Leeds City College, I’m my final year of a Health & Social Care Course. I volunteer at the British Heart Foundation and an active member of GirlGuiding. Looking for part time work between studying.
My Experience
I attend my local Girlguiding Unit where I am a Young Leader, working with the Brownies, girls between 6-9 years old. The skills I have developed as a young leader are problem solving,decision making, self awareness, encouragement, empathy and resilience. I believe these are transferable to support working life. I’m undertaking my Young Leader qualification.
I have also recently been on 4 week placement at a local Children’s preschool, my role was educational play and ensuring children were safe and included. Developed my engagement with younger children of different backgrounds and various stages of communication.
