About Me
Hi! My name is Iza (short for Izabela!) and I'm a student at the University of York. I've just finished my undergraduate degree and in September I'll be starting teacher training for primary schools. I'd be happy to help any family with children aged 3 or over during this summer holiday, be it full days, evenings or weekends :) I'm also happy to look after siblings.
I'm a very caring and patient person, and passionate about education. I've got an up-to-date DBS check, and I have training in both safeguarding and first aid.
My Experience
Last summer I worked in a holiday club for children aged 3-12 at Poppleton Road alongside its permanent staff. I was responsible for supervising children both in the club and on the trips as well as for leading activities, such as baking and crafts.
For the last two years, I did regular weekly volunteering in primary schools around York. I worked individually with children who struggled during lessons, especially with maths or phonics.
My Qualifications
I have an up-to-date DBS check, I have also completed safeguarding and first aid training. I have experience working with children from different settings, both in schools and in wrap-around care.
My Availability
I'm available for most of the summer holidays 2025 and I'd be very happy to agree on the specific dates.
