My Summary

My Experience

For the past 3 years, I have been working with children between the ages of 0 - 10 years, I have an enhanced DBS check and qualifications.
During my primary school teaching experience, I worked with children aged 3 - 10 years. I learnt key transferable skills, such as how to communicate with children at their differing levels of understanding, both verbal and non – verbal. This was experience was particularly with children of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Initially, being part of SEN group learning room, I carried out vital day to day interventions, with afternoon 1:1 sessions, tracking children’s progress, and working alongside other SEN specialists. With my ability to speak a second language, I often spoke to newly transitioning children in their home language, in order to help them learn English at the pace of their own stages of development. This experience allowed me to gain patience, empathy and compassion for children, thus allowing me to develop a meaningful relationship with them from a place of mutual respect. I thoroughly enjoyed working with this energetic age group, quickly learning when to use my initiative and the significance of active listening, especially in a childcare setting.

Throughout my days in nursery (which were with children between the ages of 0 – 5 years), I took care of children by providing them with food, feeding them, helping them with toileting, preparing them for nap time, and laying out their beds, as well as ensuring other personal care routines were met. I referred to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS, 2021), whilst I was planning, teaching and accompanying the children. This was to help them meet learning and developmental milestones, as listed by the EYFS. In all my childcare experiences, I had the role of building strong relationships with children and staff. I strive to provide the best care and support for everyone, while ensuring safeguarding procedures were adhered to in order to maintain a safe environment for children.

Throughout my experience, I have experienced fair amount of challenges that I have always overcome. I am enthusiastic and confident in my childcare experience.

My Qualifications

NCFE CACHE LEVEL 3 in childcare and education, diploma and certificate.

• Babysitting from £12.92 per hour

My fees are fairly reflective of my experience and qualifications.
