About Me

Hello! I am new to this website, apologies if it takes me a little longer to respond.

I'm a compassionate and patient nanny/babysitter with a warm and nurturing demeanour. Growing up in a large family, I was always drawn to care for others such as my nephews and my younger siblings, including my 10-year-old twin brothers and 13-year-old sister.

After graduating from university, I felt an immediate pull towards childcare and education. For the past six years, I have been privileged to work in various roles with children ranging from 4 to 18 years old. Each day has brought new opportunities to support their growth, development, and well-being, reinforcing my commitment to this rewarding field.
In August, I am excited to be moving to Dundee to further my studies in Primary Teaching. I decided to sign-up to this website as it seems to be a great way to utilise my skillset and experience whilst studying.

I've just returned from an incredible year in Spain, where I had the pleasure of teaching English. This experience broadened my horizons, improved my abilities, and fueled my love for Spanish culture. I completed my degree in Chinese Studies, and spent a year studying in China!
In my spare time, I enjoy challenging myself with new skills. Recently, I've taken up coding and roller skating.

My Experience

I have worked as a teaching assistant in secondary schools in the UK and Spain. These roles taught me a lot about the importance of communication and spending time to understand the needs of children. I led lots of creative and engaging activities for children to take part in!

I also worked in education centres for primary and secondary-aged children, providing pastoral care along with support with school work. I worked as an Education Worker for 2 years then became a Centre Leader, managing the well-being of all the children and staff at my centre. In this role, I was First-Aid Trained and was the Designated Safeguarding Officer of my centre. In my 4 years at the centre, I built strong relationships with the children and families that attended, seeing many of the children grow up.

I have worked on residentials with students of different ages. I worked as the Pastoral Care Lead on a 2 week residential for children aged 15-16. In this role, my primary responsibility was ensuring that children were safe and that they were supported. I also led a residential trip for 3 days for children aged 9-11. On this trip, I took the lead in ensuring that the children's needs were met and that they were happy and safe throughout.
