About Me
I’m Bridie, I love working with young children, and am passionate about Early Education, having a good knowledge of early child development. I believe that young children will flourish in an environment where they feel safe, secure and loved. This enables them to express themselves freely, giving them the confidence to make mistakes and explore the world around them through their own discoveries. I love to be outside in nature, and I am passionate about art, craft, colour, and music (and love being silly and having fun!).
I am also available for babysitting, and am happy to feed, bath and put your children to bed. I come with a basket full of favourite children’s books to read at bed time!
My Experience
I’m a qualified Early Years Teacher with 25 years experience working with young children (including SEN) and their families. I have spent the last 15 years leading the Early Years at Park School in Dartington. I trained in Art & Design which took me into schools to work with young children, which I loved, so decided to train to be an Early Years Teacher. I have completed several relevant training courses throughout my teaching career including Paediatric first aid and safeguarding level 3. I can offer support with early phonics, language and reading , as well as support with early number skills through creativity and play.
I also have lots of experience nannying/looking after children, taking them out and having adventures in nature. I also have lots of art and craft materials/ books/ toys and puzzles at home, so very happy to have children in my home, or happy to bring resources to your home!
I also currently work part time for a charity called only mums & dads, which support families going through separation & divorce.
I am also a very proud mother of 2 amazing grown up children!

- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
My fees start at £20ph for childcare

Bridie looked after our child one day a week over holidays. We found her to be very professional, organised, always on time, easy to communicate with and responsible. We also found Bridie to be caring, responsive, flexible and adaptive to our child's needs and brilliant at offering creative play in her home and out and about. Thank you so much!
