Hi hi! I'm Qaya ('Kay-Uh').
I'm a 24-year-old boisterous introvert with a particular passion for education and childcare have my BA Education Studies undergraduate degree. My hobbies include yoga, playing the violin, cycling, dancing, reading, rollerskating, and writing children's books.
I'm an SEN Learning Support Assistant for EYFS to KS4 in mainstream, private and SEN schools, plus FE institutions. I also work as a Forest School Holiday Camp Educator alongside Private Tutoring and Nannying. By summer of 2026 I’d like to have found a family that I can work with full-time (bonus if a live-in Nanny role) s that’s where my passion lies best having took the time to figure out a range of roles within the childcare and’s education sector as a whole. I did 6 weeks of a level 3 Nursery Practitioner Apprenticeship before fully deciding to return to university. All of the aforementioned helped me to realise that upper KS1 and all of KS2 is my most preferable age to work with.
I approach life with an optimistic and open mindset, always ready to tackle new challenges and develop holistically.
My Experience
I have worked as a Nanny on several occasions. One of my favourite things is encouragement of children's imaginative expressions in all different contexts such as arts & crafts, movement (motor skills), creative play and make-believe stories. My calm energy, utmost patience, and versatile creativity has made me a memorable individual to the families I have assisted.
The first family I ever Nannied with was a wonderful family of 4 (6 & 3 year old sisters- the youngest with prospective ASD and her older sister having Down Syndrome). I got to the privilege of realising that I also enjoy positively impacting children's lives outside of the school and private tuition settings. To be a safe-space for them and aid them in their progression is insurmountably rewarding.
