My Requirements

Ideally, we would like someone who could help take care of the children from 5-8pm while I cook dinner or tend to their needs. Duties would include - occasional help with nursery pickup (nursery is across the street from house so no driving needed); entertaining children while mum is busy; occasional light cleaning/pick up of toys in sitting room, etc; occasional baths as needed and putting the children to bed (one or sometimes both).
I would be in the home most evenings and would plan to be involved in the care of the children but we can discuss this more at the interview.
About our children - A (daughter) is being evaluated for autism and/or ADHD so someone who has some understanding on neurodivergence is a plus. (Mike is AuDHD) Our daughter is verbal and generally does well at nursery/socially but can have challenges at home.
S (our son) is so far a typical 1.5 yr old. He loves to climb in places he shouldn’t and loves to bother his sister.
About you - looking for someone who isn’t daunted by neurodivergence. Someone who is able to anticipate household/childrens needs. If occasionally light housework (picking up toys for ex.) or cooking is needed you wouldn’t be put off by that.
Speaking another language is a plus but absolutely NOT necessary. We would love to expose our children to learning other cultures/languages.
Overall, someone who is warm and engaging. Our children respond well to humour and smiles so a warm manner is very important!
