My Experience
As a experienced practioner my role is to ensure that each individual child receives the highest standard of care, nurturing, stimulating environment I am and alongside by time are responsible for meeting the childrens needs by following their routines by feeding, sleeping and changing whilst promoting their emotional needs and their developmental progress.
Through careful observation and planning each day I am constantly providing sensory and exploratory play experiences for the
children that encourages early learning, communication, fine motor skills and physical development.
My role is to lead and support my team by delivering consistent, high-quality care, delegating jobs effectively and fairly to my team and role modelling calm, responsive interactions that promote attachment and well being whilst maintaining important paper work such as carrying out daily risk assessments, following hygiene procedures and ensuring sleep practices are in place at all times.
I am also there to build strong trusting relationships with parents sharing daily updates for their child and developmental progress whilst getting to know the child’s needs and interests I am respecting their home routines and preferences. Within the room I have created a calm and engaging atmosphere with age appropriate resources and activities that support curiosity and independence. I am continuously reviewing and improving my practice by staying up to date with the early years guidance and I am contributing my overall qualities and success of the nursery.My job role consists of Nappy changing, setting up activities, daily diaries, observations, displays, getting it right for every child,
planning, key worker system, risk assessing, children’s care plans, feedback,
parent’s nights, transitions.
