About Me
We’re a friendly, easygoing and welcoming family who just moved to Cambridge from San Francisco. I'm a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, my husband is an engineer, and together we're raising our cheerful little boy, Rio. We’re looking for a kind nanny to help care for Rio during this transitional period for our family.
Rio is a joyful and curious baby who thrives on interaction but also enjoys long bouts of independent play. He’s easygoing and loves interactive play, music, books, animal sounds, food, and spending time outdoors.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a caring part-time nanny to help care for our 11-month-old son, Rio, starting as soon as possible. This is a temporary position for the next couple of months, with the possibility of extension until September. We need coverage for about 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday, but we’re flexible with the exact hours.
As a PhD student, I have a lot of flexibility, so I’m mainly looking for focused work time while making sure Rio has a fun and engaging caregiver. Duties include age-appropriate activities, taking him out for some fresh air and supporting his nap and feeding routines. Help with meal prep is a big plus, but not a must.

Sarah looked after our 12-month-old son for an afternoon and made a truly wonderful impression. Right from the moment she walked in, she was focused on him and intentional about creating a warm, positive connection. He immediately felt at ease and spent a couple of hours happily in her care with no anxiety or separation issues—something that’s not always easy at this age!
She was gentle, kind, and naturally engaging. Even while I was nearby, she kept him entertained and content, giving me a much-needed breather. She brought a great mix of activities—lots of pretend play, chase games, and she thoughtfully introduced him to active words like “push,” “pull,” and “lift.”
She also helped with one of his meals and struck the perfect balance between encouraging independence and offering support. It was clear she understood how to meet a toddler where they are, both emotionally and developmentally.
I would confidently recommend her to any family looking for a caring, intuitive, and capable nanny.
