My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Jess – a friendly, reliable, and caring childminder who understands just how important it is to find the right person to look after your little one. As a parent myself, I know you want someone who will treat your child as if they were part of the family – and that’s exactly what I do.
My home is warm, welcoming, and full of fun, with a safe garden for outdoor play and plenty of toys, books, and activities to keep children engaged and happy. We do everything from messy play and crafts to story time, baking, and trips to the park. I follow the EYFS framework so your child will be learning through play every day.
I work closely with parents to make sure each child’s routine, likes, and needs are respected. I'm first aid trained, and fully insured – so you can relax knowing your child is in safe hands.
If you’d like to pop round for a chat and a cuppa to see if we’re the right fit, please get in touch – I’d love to meet you and your little one.
My Experience
I have 19 years of experience working with children, from new-borns right through to teenagers, and I’m also a mum to two wonderful children of my own – a 15-year-old and a 3-year-old. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of families and have supported children with all kinds of needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
I’m confident caring for babies, toddlers, and school-aged children, and I adapt activities to suit each child’s interests and abilities. My experience includes everything from supporting early development milestones to helping older children with homework, building independence, and encouraging social skills.
I follow the EYFS framework to provide engaging, age-appropriate activities – from messy play and sensory exploration for little ones, to creative projects, outdoor adventures, and baking for older children. I’m trained in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding, and I keep my knowledge up to date with regular professional development.
Caring for children isn’t just my career – it’s my passion. I love helping them grow in confidence, learn new skills, and feel safe, happy, and valued every day.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
Level 2 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
Ofsted Registered Childminder
Paediatric First Aid Certificate – up to date
Safeguarding Children Training – up to date
Ongoing CPD to stay up to date with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and best childcare practices
