Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, with flexibility until 6:30 pm if required.
Term time only, with limited holiday spaces available.
Morning snack is included in the fee. Lunch and afternoon tea are available at an additional charge if you would like your child to eat with us.
About Me:
Hi my name is Joanne Ying , I am an ofsted registered childminder.
I am a qualified Montessori practitioner with AMI Montessori training and a diploma-level background in Montessori education. I am fluent in English and also offer bilingual childcare in English and Mandarin, depending on each child’s needs.
I have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years. Two years ago, I came to the UK and started working through an agency, which placed me in various nurseries.
I have two children of my own: a 12-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. As I need to collect my daughter from school each day, I have limited availability during school pick-up times. I also have limited spaces available during school holidays. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your childcare needs.
Animals are part of our everyday life. I have two cats at home. They are very friendly.
Daily Routine & Learning:
Children follow a consistent daily rhythm that supports security and independence. The morning usually includes Montessori work cycles, practical life activities, and snack preparation, helping children develop focus, coordination, and early learning skills in a natural way.
I offer a wide variety of play, arts and crafts, reading, dancing, yoga, numeracy …. All learning and developing activities appropriate to each childs individual needs.
I have a separate spacious playroom in my house with montessori materails and books for a range of ages, garden with play equipment and we grown vegetables from Spring to Autumn, walking distance to parks and playgrounds.
I have a full clean driving license.

My Experience
I have nearly 9 years of experience working in Montessori environments in China, where I supported children aged 0-6 in their development using the AMI approach. My work focused on fostering independence, concentration, and a love of learning through hands-on activities and a calm, respectful atmosphere.
Since moving to the UK, I have been working as a Teaching Assistant from agnecies in both nursery and primary school settings, gaining experience in supporting children across a range of ages and needs.
I also teach Mandarin to children and adults, both online and face-to-face.
I hope to develop a school aligned with my vision: a calm and peaceful environment where children can focus, grow, and develop their full potential. My goal is also to support and work closely with parents.

Paediatric First Aid Certificate
AMI 2.5–6 diploma,
Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (EYE)
