My Experience

I have over five years of experience working in Montessori environments in China, where I supported children aged 2–6 in their development using the AMI approach. My work focused on fostering independence, concentration, and a love of learning through hands-on activities and a calm, respectful atmosphere.

Since moving to the UK, I have been working as a Teaching Assistant in both nursery and primary school settings, gaining experience in supporting children across a range of ages and needs.

As a qualified Montessori teacher, I carefully observe each child, including those with additional needs. In my prepared environment, I often see children stay deeply focused and engaged. I transform abstract or difficult maths concepts into hands-on, concrete activities that children can physically manipulate and explore.

Through this approach, children have shown remarkable progress in both maths and geography. Learning becomes meaningful, enjoyable and accessible, and they build confidence as they discover concepts through experience rather than memorization.

Alongside this, I also teach Mandarin to children and adults, both online and face-to-face. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each learner’s level, with a focus on real-life communication.

AMI 2.5–6 diploma,
CELTA,
Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (EYE).

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £30.00 per hour

School pick-up fee: £5 per pick-up per child
After-school care: £7 per hour
Dinner (optional): £3

Pick-up + care (3:30–5:30) = £19
