My Requirements
We are looking for a warm, energetic, and reliable Spanish-speaking nanny with light housekeeping responsibilities to join our family full-time (45 hours per week across five days, including one Sunday per month — 8–9 hours — paid at the standard weekday rate). We are based in Hampstead.
This role combines mainly childcare (around 80%) with light household duties (approximately 20%). Both parents work from home but are not involved in the children's daily care. Your responsibilities will include:
• Speaking Spanish exclusively with the children to support and deepen their language skills during meals, playtime, walks, and routines.
• Creating an immersive Spanish-language environment by involving the children in daily tasks, such as:
• Encouraging participation in cooking by naming ingredients, describing actions, and inviting them to help when suitable.
• Narrating daily routines and describing the world around them in a playful, educational way.
• Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the children and family (ingredients and meal preferences provided; two vegetarian days per week).
• Planning daily learning and play activities, including contributing to the homeschooling programme of the eldest.
• Organising local outings and outdoor activities (e.g., parks, playgrounds, playgroups).
• Managing light household tasks, such as:
• Daily laundry (washing and folding)
• Tidying the children’s rooms and wardrobes
• Loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Hoovering after meals
• Taking out bins when needed
• Keeping the kitchen, playroom, and nursery areas clean and well organised (note: we have a regular cleaner for deep cleaning)
• Supporting nap and bedtime routines (the eldest does not nap).
• Handling the children's evening bath routine every day.
• Being available to work one Sunday per month (8–9 hours), paid at your regular hourly rate.
• Occasionally working bank holidays (paid at the normal weekday rate).
Requirements
• Native or fluent Spanish speaker.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with children aged 1–6.
• Calm, energetic, creative, and highly organised.
• Respectful and confident in homes where parents are present but not involved in care.
• Strong interest in language development and early childhood education.
• First Aid certified and able to provide outstanding references.
• Non-smoker.
