I'm Emma and i am the owner of 'Little Blossoms'.
I am Ofsted registered childminder located in Sacriston County Durham. I am a friendly, caring and a trustworthy person who will always try to help others. I have always had a passion to work with children.
I live in a Detached house with a garden, an allotment, and a new and purpose-built, nursery-style room in a home setting. My aim is to provide the children with fun and stimulating activities to help spark their imagination, encourage their curiosity and develop their physical, social, emotional and communication skills. At Little Blossoms children are encouraged to follow their interests and we plan activities around the children's interests.
I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, so i have many years of Early years experience, working in Nursery and School settings. I am trained in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and i am a Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring children’s wellbeing is always a top priority.
I am also a parent myself to three beautiful children who now attend school.
My experience has given me the potential to open my home as 'Little Blossoms' and provide professional childcare to work closely with children and support families.
Being a working parent myself I know that choosing childcare is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent/carer and at Little Blossoms we work closely with families to deliver high quality care.
Parents/Carers will receive daily updates of there Little ones learning and development through their learning journals.
We always aim to make sure that your little ones settle quickly and build strong bonds, we support little ones to feel comfortable to explore the provision and we will always be able to support them.
My Experience
Little Blossoms currently have available spaces for funded and non-funded hours from birth!
We are flexible with days and times to meet the needs of parents/carers.
At Little Blossoms we pride ourselves in the environment that we offer your little ones, we follow the Development Matters Framework just like nurseries and school settings.
At Little Blossoms your little ones needs and interests will be followed in depth and consistency as we work on a small ratio.

My Availability
Little Blossoms is open:
Monday - Friday 7.30 am - 6 pm
Although these hours are confirmed i am very flexible and will always try to accommodate to meet parents needs.
Little Blossoms looks after children from the age of Birth!
We provide holiday club too!

- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
£55 full day
£30 mornings
£30 afternoons
Our prices are based on the average cost of childcare in the Durham area making our service affordable.
We also accept 15-30 hours free childcare funding.

My son was with Emma for about 4 months. She was absolutely brilliant with him. He was so excited to go on a morning and was always doing fabulous activities while there. Emma is so kind and attentive. I truly felt like my son was very safe with her and was getting great care
The only reason we parted ways was due to my husbands commute. I would have happily kept my son there for years to come.
Emma really is such a great person and absolutely fab with children. She is very reliable and communicative

Had our visit to Little Blossoms this morning and from the minute we set foot inside we had decided this was the place for our daughter. Emma is so welcoming and explained everything thoroughly, our daughter was comfortable straight away exploring and playing with all the toys/books. I’m normally a very nervous parent and it will be the first time leaving her with someone new and I feel very calm and happy about it. And to know she will be looked after well and will have plenty of time out in the fresh air aswell, we really look forward to her start in January!

We had our visit to little blossoms this afternoon and from us walking into the door we knew this was the childminder for our little boy. Isaac loved playing with all the toys and engaged really well with emma. I can’t wait for our little boy to start in January as I know he will enjoy it so much.
