My Summary
About Me
I’ve worked with children and families for nearly a decade across mental health, social care, and educational settings. My approach is grounded in empathy, nervous system awareness, and a belief that every child thrives when they feel seen, safe, and supported.
I bring calm, consistency, and creativity to each day—whether it’s supporting emotional development, navigating big feelings, or simply making space for joy and curiosity. I also understand the pressures modern parents face and aim to be a steady, supportive presence in your family’s life.
My Experience
Social Work & Family Support
In my roles within local authority social work and family support teams, I focused heavily on direct work with children—from babies to teenagers—supporting their emotional development through therapeutic play, creative activities, and age-appropriate conversations. I used a range of tools to help children make sense of their experiences, build emotional literacy, and develop secure relationships.
Whether working with children in the midst of family transitions, trauma, or additional needs, I’ve always prioritised creating safe, playful, and nurturing environments that support healthy development. I also delivered parenting programmes and family activities, which gave me a strong understanding of child-parent dynamics and how to foster connection at home.
Mental Health & CAMHS
In my role as a child and adolescent mental health practitioner (CAMHS), I delivered early-intervention mental health support in schools and GP surgeries. I worked with children experiencing anxiety, low mood, and self-harm, and provided emotional support to neurodivergent children. I also co-facilitated family therapy sessions and trained school staff in trauma-informed care.
Therapeutic Work & Yoga
As a trained trauma-sensitive yoga teacher and therapeutic coach, I’ve supported children and adults using gentle, body-based practices that promote nervous system regulation and emotional resilience. I’ve led yoga groups in schools for children with SEN, trauma histories, and complex needs, using movement and mindfulness to help them connect with their bodies in a safe and empowering way.
