My Summary
About Me
Hi! I'm 18 and currently finishing my A-Levels, so I've been spending most of my time recently studying hard and staying focused on my goals. I'm going to be heading to the University of Exeter in September to study Psychology, —I'm really interested in developmental psyhcology. I'm now looking forward to the summer and making the most of it by doing something meaningful—like helping families with childcare!
My Experience
I’ve been a nanny for nearly a year for a lovely family, children ages 6 and 10, where I’ve cooked meals, helped with homework and school projects, and taken the children to their swimming lessons and sports clubs. I’ve also taken them on fun days out during the holidays. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and creating a positive, supportive environment for them. One of the children I care for has allergies, so I’m experienced in being cautious and prepared, and I’ve also completed Level 3 First Aid training.
- Have been occasionally babysitting in the evening for around 2+ years
To gain even more experience, I’ve worked in two local nurseries as part of work placements, which gave me valuable insight into early years care. I also worked in Primark for two years, in the baby section—so I’ve been surrounded by children in both personal and professional settings and feel confident handling a wide range of situations.
My Qualifications
I’ve completed my GCSEs and A-Levels and will be starting a Psychology degree at the University of Exeter this September. While I don’t hold formal childcare qualifications, I’ve built strong practical experience through nannying, nursery placements, and first aid training (Level 3). Studying Psychology has deepened my understanding of child development and behaviour, and I’m passionate about continuing to learn through hands-on experience.
Predicted A*AA grades, hopefully in the future specialising in Clinical psychology.
My Availability
I’m available on a part-time or occasional basis throughout the summer, including both weekdays and weekends. I do have a couple of holidays booked, so I’d really appreciate some flexibility with scheduling, but I’ll always give as much notice as possible. I have a full UK driving licence and my own car, so I can travel locally and help out with drop-offs, pick-ups, or outings. I’m really looking to gain even more experience working with children, and I understand how important trustworthy childcare is—I’ll always do my best to support your family whenever I can. I'm available to start on the 9th of July to mid-September, then I will be going to university, coming back for half-terms.
