My Summary

My Experience

I am an experienced tutor providing one to one tuition in schools and private homes across Reading. I support children from Reception to Year 6 in English and Maths, including phonics, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, numeracy and problem solving. My experience also includes delivering individualised tuition to learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

I have supported children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and developmental delays. I adapt my teaching to each learner’s individual needs, using structured lessons, visual supports, practical resources and appropriate strategies to develop understanding, confidence and independence.

Working across school and home settings has strengthened my ability to identify learning needs, build positive relationships with children and deliver tailored support that enables each learner to make meaningful progress.

My Qualifications

I hold a Master’s degree in Finance and Financial Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. My academic background has strengthened my skills in numeracy, organisation, and clear communication, which I now bring into my tutoring. I also have experience working in a nursery, where I developed a real understanding of how young children learn best.

This combination of academic knowledge and hands-on childcare experience helps me create supportive, structured lessons that build children’s confidence in maths, reading, English, and early learning skills.
