About Me
Hi! I'm Chloe - I’m a qualified teacher with over 7 years of experience working with children aged 3 to 18, and I’m now heading back to university to continue my studies and looking for tutoring and ad-hoc childcare opportunities alongside that. I enjoy working with a focus on learning through play and tailoring sessions to each child’s interests.
I have taught Latin and Classical Civilisation at secondary level for 4 years, but what I really enjoy is helping children connect with learning in a way that feels fun and personal. One of my favourite tutoring experiences was with a 9-year-old boy who didn’t like English — until we started exploring spooky Gothic horror stories, which he loved!
I have experience with working with neurodivergent children and have a particular interest in working with pupils with ADHD and autism. I love animals and would be very happy working in a home with dogs or cats!

My Experience
From 2021-2025, I was a secondary teacher for children ages 11-18 and with a wide variety of special educational needs. I have been working as supply in nursery settings from 2021 during the school holidays.
While completing my Classics BA at Durham from 2018 - 2021, I tutored students aged 8-65 in English, Religious Studies and Latin.
In 2021 I took part in the launch of Academus Education, a summer school based out of King's College London which opened up education in Classics for teenagers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to learn about the ancient world.
In 2022, I gained my PGCE in Latin with Classics from the University of Cambridge.
In the school year 2024-2025, I took up the role of Head of Department. I have also been a form tutor for years 8 and 9.
