Hi I’m Leanne a caring and passionate person. Iv enjoyed working with children for many years in variety of different setting giving me a broad knowledge of children’s development and routine, I enjoy being in a caring and supportive role where I can help encourage children to learn through there experiences and play.
In my spare time I enjoy being active in the gym or going outdoors for walks/hikes with my dog, bike rides, I also love to travel and having experiences and the opportunity to try new things. I like crafts weather thats arts and craft, sewing or baking iv alway enjoyed making things with children and coming up with new ideas.
My Experience
I have a variety experience working with children for over 20 years from newborn to 17. I started my career in nurseries then had the opportunity to work on the cruise ship as a children’s entertainer. These experiences have given me many skills to be able to adapt to every child’s needs and many ideas for play and development of all ages. In the later part of my career, I’ve worked for the NHS for 12 years as an associate practitioner mainly working in the neonatal unit and more recently moving into the mother and baby unit supporting bonding, play, bathing, feeding Breast/bottle/weaning etc.
I took on the role whilst on neonatal supporting and teaching feeding support which I enjoyed being able to empower the mums on there feeding journey weather this was bottle or breast helping them to become more confident and giving reassurance and seeing there journey with there baby develop.
I have had a very fulfilling career so far but would now like a better work life balance where I can also enjoy home life too without doing shift work and where I can enjoy doing a caring role that can be developed with a family.
My Qualifications
CACHE in child care and development level 3 diploma
Basic life support training in April 25
Baby friendly initiative and trained the trainer
Safeguarding level 3 April 25
I am currently looking at booking on to a first aid training course.
