About Me
Hi! I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a BA Hons Primary QTS with early years at Liverpool Hope University, and over 14 years of classroom experience. I’ve worked mainly in the Early Years and Key Stage 1, and have a real passion for helping children develop confidence and a love of learning. I have lots of experience supporting children with a wide range of SEND needs, adapting lessons to suit every child’s way of learning. Alongside teaching, I also have experience tutoring one-to-one, helping children make great progress while keeping things fun, engaging and positive. My aim is always to make learning feel achievable and enjoyable and to help every child feel proud of how far they’ve come.
My Experience
I am an experienced primary teacher with a passion for helping children build confidence and enjoy learning. I’ve taught phonics and maths from Reception right up to Year 3 and have a wealth of experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and speech and language difficulties.
I’ve worked closely with speech and language therapists and have lots of experience supporting children with individual SALT targets. I regularly use approaches such as Bucket Therapy and Colourful Semantics to help children develop their listening, attention and communication skills in a fun and engaging way.
My aim is always to adapt learning so every child feels valued, understood and proud of what they can achieve. I truly believe we’re all learning every single day, no matter our age — and I bring patience, creativity and encouragement to every session, helping children make progress and feel good about themselves as learners.

Kerry has been supporting our son for a number of months now & she’s amazing. He looks forward to the sessions, which are fun, engaging & well structured. Kerry has understood his learning type, what he enjoys to do, what he doesn’t & builds a plan that helps in all areas.

Kerry was an amazing tutor to my daughter over the holidays. Kerry has extremely warm and kind personality and made an effort to get to know my daughters needs in regard to phonics/reading and mathmatics. My daughter still asks if Kerry is coming back and I would definitely would consider her in the future. Thankyou so much Kerry!
