Char
Babysitter in Blaby
My Summary
Charlotte Henry, Dbs Qualified
About Me
I’m a 20-year-old babysitter based in Leicester who is reliable, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I have experience caring for younger family members and understand the importance of keeping children safe, supported, and engaged.
I’m confident helping with homework, playing games, and sticking to routines like mealtimes and bedtime. I always aim to create a safe, fun, and comfortable environment where children feel happy and well cared for.
I am DBS checked and have a basic understanding of first aid, including how to respond in emergency situations.
I tailor my care to each child’s needs and always make sure parents feel reassured while they’re away.
My Experience
I’ve been caring for children for several years, starting with babysitting my younger cousins, who are between 2 and 8 years old. I’ve also babysat for a family friend, which gave me more one-on-one experience. In sixth form, I studied Health and Social Care and did a placement in a primary school, working with children from nursery to Year 2.
During that time, I supported a non-verbal autistic child, which helped me learn how to interact in a calm, structured, and sensitive way to meet her needs. More recently, through my child nursing degree, I did a placement in a nursery where I cared for children as young as a few months up to 4 years old. I had the chance to work with another autistic child there, and that really helped me develop my communication skills even more—especially using non-verbal cues, consistency, and sensory awareness.
I’ve always had a natural connection with children from quite a young age. I’m calm, patient, and really enjoy getting to know each child’s personality so I can tailor my care to what makes them feel safe, understood, and happy.
