About Me
I run New Town Nests — a small, growing business based in Edinburgh and Glasgow. We support busy families and individuals, including those who are neurodivergent, by providing trusted, in-person home help.
Our services are tailored and practical — including tidying, decluttering, light cooking, dog walking, childcare support, laundry, ironing, and general household organisation.
I currently have a role I’m looking to fill and would love to connect with someone who is warm, reliable, and great at working in home environments.
My Requirements
? Job Opportunity: Home & Family Assistant (10hrs/week) – Edinburgh South – £15 (PAYE) or £16 p/h self employed. Opportunity for more hours - up to 20 a week ish.
We’re currently looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive person to join us at New Town Nests as a Home & Family Assistant, support a family. This is a PAYE position, 28 days holiday.

Hours:
* Monday: 3:00pm – 5:15pm
* Tuesday: 3:00pm – 6:15pm
* Wednesday: 3:00pm – 5:15pm
* Thursday: 3:00pm – 5:15pm
Duties:
* School pick-up (3:15pm, approx. 2 miles from home)
* Keep the boys engaged after school
* Light tidying and dinner prep

• Enjoy working independently and taking initiative
• Comfortable in varied roles—from decluttering cupboards to stirring soup
• Happy being around children and dogs
• Local to (or familiar with) Edinburgh south and someone who can reliably commute.
