My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working as a Childminding Assistant in a home-based childcare setting, providing high-quality care for children from as young as three months old up to school age. This role has given me a strong foundation in early childhood development and a deep understanding of the importance of creating a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment tailored to each child’s individual needs.
In this role, I have:
• Supported the daily care of babies and young children, including feeding, changing, settling routines, and early developmental milestones
• Planned and delivered age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Promoted speech and language development, social interaction, and emotional regulation through play and structured routines
• Assisted with toilet training, behavioural support, and preparation for transitions into nursery or school

Qualifications & Training
• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young
People’s Workforce (Early Years)
Qualified to work with children from birth to 5 years, with strong understanding of child development, EYFS curriculum, safeguarding, and inclusive care practices.
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Up-to-date training in emergency response, CPR, choking, and first aid for babies and young children.
• Enhanced DBS Check
Fully vetted and cleared to work with children, with a current Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service certificate.
• Safeguarding Children Training
Knowledgeable in identifying and responding to signs of abuse, neglect, and child protection concerns in line with statutory guidelines.
• Food Hygiene & Safety Awareness
Trained in preparing and handling food safely in a childcare setting.
• Qualified Youth Support Worker
Additional training and experience in supporting older children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
All certificates can be provided in person if requested.
