About Me
We are a family based in Eversley - working married couple with two amazing children aged seven and three. Our daughter is in a school in Crowthorne and does most of her activities during school time / wrap around hours. Our three year old son is in nursery at the same school at the moment but likely attending an alternative setting once we have found one. Our son is cheeky, observant and works so hard to achieve even small milestones. His Down Syndrome is the least interesting thing about him!
My Requirements
We are starting to consider various types of childcare to suit our family. Although our son is doing great in his current nursery setting he will not be continuing into the main school and likely be attending our local mainstream school instead. Due to work we would need support in the hours after school - collecting our son from school and bringing him home. Some light developmental activities may be needed to support his learning - phonics, matching, spelling, speech and language activities etc as well as preparing a light meal for him and his sister.
We aren't looking for somebody with specific SEN qualifications, but instead for an individual who can integrate into our family and provide love, support and fun to our household. Having an open mind about peoples abilities is a must and knowing how to gently encourage and model behaviours is a must.
