About Me
We have a 3 year old daughter who attends nursery and an 11 month old son (9 months corrected) who was due to start nursery in September but has had a number of respiratory illnesses this year, including being on a ventilator in PICU so we are feeling nervous about nursery and considering a nanny instead, so he is not exposed to so many viruses all at once! Our boy also has a heart condition that is stable and was born premature, but is active and meeting all his milestones etc. Finding someone reliable is essential for us and someone who we will be able to trust to get to know him well and know if he is showing any signs of illness. He currently has an inhaler for viral wheeze if needed but is not on any other medication.
My Requirements
We would need 2 days out of mon/tues/weds from September when I go back to work, hours would likely be 9-5 or 9-6. Childcare would be either for just our boy, with very occasional care of the 3 year old, or could include picking her up from pre-school and having her for a few hours in the afternoon, depending on if we change her settings or not. If she is at a pre-school, it is just a short walk down the road, otherwise all nursery pick-ups will be done by us.
The main thing we are looking for in a nanny is someone who will always respond to our child’s needs, be kind and fun. I would love for him to spend plenty of time outside and possibly attend some toddler groups so he is getting some socialisation!
