Every Wednesday and Thursday after school, I’d care for them while my mum worked late—preparing their dinner, helping with homework, bathing them, and keeping them in their evening routine until she returned at 9 p.m. Although my dad arrived home around 6, I was still the one primarily responsible during that time.
On Saturday mornings, I’d wake them up, get them ready for the day, make breakfast, and take them on the bus to our nannan’s house. Over the years, this consistent routine has helped me become confident with multitasking, time management, and independently caring for children across different stages of development.
